The National Cyber Security Agency (ACN) participated in the meeting of the leading cyber security agencies at the third AI Action Summit held in Paris.
Organized by the French National Cyber Security Agency (ANSSI), the event saw the presence of 28 international agencies, as well as ENISA, the European Commission, and the OECD, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in Artificial Intelligence security.
Crisis simulations to protect AI
Prior to the meeting, a crisis management simulation was conducted to test the resilience of private sector organizations operating in cyber security and Artificial Intelligence. This exercise provided a crucial testbed for evaluating defense strategies against potential cyberattacks targeting AI-based systems.
A shared strategy for the future
The cyber security of Artificial Intelligence is a key topic for the G7 Cyber Security Working Group, an initiative promoted by ACN. The goal is to create coordinated risk governance mechanisms, focusing on two main areas:
- Protecting AI supply chains, ensuring secure and reliable technologies;
- Preventing the malicious use of AI, addressing threats such as advanced cyberattacks and digital manipulation.
ACN at the center of the debate
Ambassador Massimo Marotti, Director of the Strategy and Cooperation Service of ACN, emphasized how international cooperation is crucial in tackling the challenges of cyber security in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
A regulatory framework for global cyber security
The event marked a significant step towards defining a shared regulatory and operational framework, capable of effectively responding to new digital threats on a global scale.
